The association between film and typography, although often underestimated, is an important aspect in the development of a film's identity. Far from being incidental, typography plays a key role in conveying the messages, atmospheres, emotions and artistic intentions of filmmakers. The purpose of this post graduate dissertation is therefore to explore in depth the essential role played by typography in the construction of a film's identity.
