[Work in progress] Jacques is a tribute to my grandfather, who was a printer and photoengraver and who also studied at the same school as me. Jacques is a typeface inspired by the French grotesques of the 60’s and 70’s, following the principle of reinforcing the upper parts of the letter, like Roger Excoffon’s Antique Olive as well as Ladislas Mandel’s Galfra, Colorado or Nordica.
